Phatt City Alley

The alleys of Phatt City are the location of some shady gambling on Phatt Island. The two alleys are found on either side of the Phatt City Library.
The alley to the left of the library contains a wheel game, hosted by Fred the Wheel Dealer (voiced by David W. Collins in the Special Edition). One must correctly guess the number and colour (red or black) that the wheel will land on when spun. There are several prizes available to winners:
- An invitation to Governor Marley's Mardi Gras party at her mansion on Booty Island
- 60 pieces of eight
- One useless item—either a vacation to Hook Island or ticket to the Fettucini Brothers' latest show.
When Guybrush has won all the prizes the dealer will disappear mysteriously through a concealed exit in the floor.
The alley to the right of the library contains a large door. Guybrush can follow Ralphie, a successful gambler who always collects the cash prize, to this alley to see how he knocks on the door and gives the right answer to a coded question to learn the next winning number in the wheel game. Guybrush can imitate this behaviour to win the game. The mysterious figure behind the door will ask Guybrush how many fingers he is holding up; the answer is simply the number he was holding up a moment before.
