Lindy

Lindy was the cabin boy on Captain Marley's trip to find the legendary treasure of Big Whoop, along with the cook Rapp Scallion and first mate Rum Rogers. The treasure was supposed to be either so magnificent or so terrible (it is later revealed to be the latter, as it is essentially a gate to Hell) that the crew went their separate ways and split the map between them.
After LeChuck was revived as a ghost he hunted down and killed all of Marley's crewmen. For Lindy, however, he planned a more elaborate downfall, first lending the young man a large fortune with which he started a successful advertising business. LeChuck then maliciously sent him an impossible account which bankrupted the company. Left desperate, Lindy spent his last years working in a circus and was killed when he was shot out of a cannon without a helmet (an obvious reference to The Secret of Monkey Island).
Because the other map pieces can be linked to a family member or incident, the map piece for sale for 6 000 000 pieces of eight in the Booty Boutique on Booty Island must by Lindy's, possibly sold during his extreme poverty.
