Hugo is a perfume spritzer who works on Lucre Island. He is a licensed aromatherapist.
Hugo used to be a pirate but underwent training, by Ozzie Mandrill's method, in order to turn himself into a productive member of society. Although he says he doesn't especially miss being a pirate, he still occasionally misses grog, wenches and seeing the blood of his enemies.
At the time of Escape from Monkey Island, Hugo works as a perfume spritzer at Scents and Sensibilities in Lucre Town. His most popular fragrance is Eau de LeChuck. Guybrush can take a free sample of the perfume as well as empty perfume spritzers from behind the stand.
